Zut alors!

Right now I’m sitting in the Newark airport waiting for our flight to Chicago. I’ve had no access to internet for a week and it was surprisingly refreshing. These pictures were taken a week ago on our first full day in Paris and these are specifically on the Ile Saint Louis. It is such an unbelievable place. The Ile Saint Louis is just a tiny island in the Seine but it has so much cool stuff on it. The first two photos are of the ice cream parlor Berthillon…they do ice cream very well…and as in most establishments in Paris the decor is fabulous.

Great cheese…

fromage

Fabulous poultry…

chickens

Beautiful flowers…

And the perfect place to sit, relax, and watch the world go by.
Ile St. Louis

They’re boarding my flight…I’ll write more tomorrow.

I’ve been waiting for you to get back, because I knew you would have good Paris pictures and stories. Didn’t it make you a little crazy that you couldn’t buy the produce, meat, etc, to cook with? I kept telling my husband how I wanted to cook with everything I saw, but I couldn’t see that working out at our hotel ;) Check my blog, I was in Paris a week before you and am working on my posts. Hope you had a safe flight home!

Erin, thanks for the welcome home. Actually I was quite content not to cook, we even had a tiny kitchen our room and used it to make our morning pot of coffee. I loved eating such fabulous food and being served by such charming professionals…what an incredible city!
